The F-16 Air Force from the Korean Peninsula has flown and trained with their Filipino counterparts since last weekend at the Cesar Basa Air Base.

Fighting Falcons from the 113th Fighter Wing at the Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, along with flight crews and maintenance personnel and supporters, have joined the Philippine FA-50 light attack jet for training in the air, while field crews from both countries are training with intelligence , maintenance and flight procedures and back shop, according to an Air Force statement issued on January 18.

The exercise - called the Philippine-or BACE-P Bilateral Air Contingent Exchange - allows the two militaries to work together to "deepen relations, which ultimately supports maintaining a free and open Indo-Pacific," Colonel Christopher Faurot, senior Air Pacific Troop Officer who is responsible for the exchange, said the statement.
